COMMUNITY BANK NA SUPPORTS LEWIS COUNTY HOSPICE
Community Bank NA, with local branches located in Lowville, West Carthage, Harrisville, Lyons Falls, Boonville and throughout Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties, is proud to join forces with Friends of Lewis County Hospice by sponsoring the 20th annual Epicurean Delight. Its $2000 corporate sponsorship provides Friends of Lewis County Hospice with the funds to organize, publicize, and conduct the Epicurean Delight, our major fund-raiser. Money raised at this event enables Lewis County Hospice to offer many services to the terminally ill and their families.
This year’s Epicurean Delight will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 4:15 - 7 PM at the Wax House, Snow Ridge, Turin, NY. Music by the band Capo 3 will entertain the crowd in the tent where the silent auction is held at 4:15 PM; food tasting from many local restaurants and a raffle will be held at 5 – 7PM. Tickets for the Epicurean are on sale for $22 from any board member or at Kinney Drugs from April 21 – May 2. This year’s raffle includes a quilt donated by Claire Waligory, a local artisan basket, and many other prizes. The silent auction which starts at 4:15 PM will have many donated items from our very talented local artists and businesses.
Headquartered in DeWitt, N.Y., Community Bank System, Inc. has more than $7.0 billion in assets and over 190 customer facilities. The Company’s banking subsidiary, Community Bank, N.A. operates across Upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Its other subsidiaries include: Benefit Plans Administrative Services, Inc., a national employee benefits consulting and trust administration firm; the CBNA Insurance Agency, with offices in five northern New York communities; Community Investment Services, Inc., a wealth management firm delivering a wide range of financial products throughout the Company's branch network; and Nottingham Advisors, an investment management and advisory firm.
Operating as a community bank with local decision-making, principally in non-urban markets, and offering a broad array of banking and financial services to retail, commercial, and municipal customers – this describes their business philosophy. Following this approach, Community Bank System has grown into not only one of the largest community banks based in Upstate New York, but one of the 100 largest banks in North America. In fact, Community Bank System, Inc. is ranked fourth for financial strength by Forbes magazine in its annual listing of the Best and Worst Banks in America.
They emphasize responsive, local decision-making and customer support, and they’re committed to the philosophy of serving the financial needs of customers within their local markets. Their branches are located primarily in smaller towns and cities within Upstate NY and Northeastern PA where they have built meaningful market presence. They are firmly convinced that the local character of their business, knowledge of their customers and their needs along with a comprehensive line of retail and business products enables them to be successful in our markets. Its support of Epicurean Delight is just one way Community Bank NA gives back to the communities it serves.
Rita Walldroff, Public Relations for Community Bank NA, presents the corporate sponsorship check to Dorrie Boliver, Epicurean Co-chair, and Tina Paczkowski, Friends of Lewis County Board Member.
