A little about Janine…

I’m a lifelong resident of Croghan.

I’ve been married for 31 years to my husband Richard. I have 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Zachary & Bridget and Nicholas & Sabrina - I also have 2 grandchildren - Brantley & Paetyn.

I will be retiring from Beaver River Central School as a Senior Account Clerk in March of this year after 24 - 1/2 years. I look forward to supporting Lewis County Friends of Hospice in any capacity.

A little about Leanne…

I was born and raised in Lewis County to my amazing parents Wilbur and Sharon Moser and have two older brothers who live in Long Island and Texas .I attended Lowville Academy graduating in 1985. I graduated from Syracuse University (both undergrad and Law School) and began my law career in Canandaigua New York working for a private law firm for four years. I then spent 10 years working as an Assistant District Attorney in Monroe County before spending 2 years as a prosecutor at the Education Department. In 2007 I ran for District Attorney in Lewis County and became the First Female full time District Attorney where I served Lewis County as both District Attorney and Coroner for 16 years from 2008-2023. In March of 2024 I began working as an Assistant Attorney General in the Watertown Regional Office (until what I hope will be my retirement in 2026— not that I am counting LOL)

I am honored to have been asked to be a member of this board because I believe in its mission and experienced first hand the generosity of spirit and kindness and warmth and care that was shown to our family and to my father when he was on hospice before his passing in 2021. Caring for individuals and families in their final days and weeks or months is a privilege and a honor and a privilege to be given the utmost respect and care.

So it is with gratitude and respect that I accept the position to be a member of this Board.

Michael Brooks

MichaelBrooksA warm welcome to Michael Brooks who is filling the board member position recently vacated by Ryan Piche. Michael was born and raised in Lowville and is a 1970 graduate of Lowville Academy.

Ryan Piche

Farewell to Ryan... We extend our sincere thanks to Ryan Piche for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the FOLCH Board of Directors, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
